Hjem Om kommunen Nyheder og presse Nyheder Coming to Samsø from abroad – How can we work together to ensure a good life on our island for citizens coming from abroad

Tuesday, the 6th of February, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM, Erhvervs- og Bosætningsudvalget (Business and Settlement Committee), in collaboration with Samsø Frivilligcenter (Volunteer Center), invites you to a meeting about how we bid newcomers from abroad welcome into our local community.

Together we would like to explore what we can do to support a good life on our island for those moving to and residing on Samsø as international newcomers. We hope you will contribute with your insights and thoughts if you are a foreigner or if, you are an employer, with many foreign employees.

On Samsø we have citizens with 40 different nationalities, and every fifth employee on the island is a foreigner. This shows us that quite a lot of people wish to relocate from abroad to Samsø. We are committed to ensure that foreigners are well-integrated into our island community.

The meeting will be in English.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, the 6th of February, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM in SamBiosen. There will be activities for children, and dinner for all participants.
