Snout
SNUDE
”Snude” (English: Snout) by Zven Balslev (b. 1977)
is crafted in glazed ceramic as a mosaic with painted shadows.
The work combines the tactile with the visual, creating an welcoming
space for both waiting passengers and passersby.
”Snude” is inspiredby Henri Matisse’s colorful paper cutouts and the
playful visual language of Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
The motif depicts a chair,a table, a jug, and a lamp – all in classic Danish design – along with a
chalkboard featuring meat bones instead of letters: a humorous eye chart
for dogs.
